The standards of kitchen and bathroom design are high: Today, these areas of the home are a design statement and a reflection of the individuality of the user – no longer just places for housekeeping and personal hygiene.

After the introduction of the Granucol® Mix Black+ met customer demand for a “blacker black”, it made sense for Dorfner to also offer a bright white filler for kitchen sinks and sanitary applications. The result is the innovative Granucol® Mix White+.

The Granucol® Mix White+ complements the well-known Dorfner colored sand mixtures and for the first time enables highly white (L value > 91) homogeneous kitchen sinks made of quartz. The starting point is the well-known high-purity quartz sand, which is refined in a multi-stage raw material process to such an extent that practically no recognizable impurities remain.

With a filling level of over 72%, the Granucol® Mix White+ can be processed like other functional Granucol® mixtures. It also meets the known requirements for scratch hardness and resistance to temperature changes (e.g. 1000 cycles hot/cold at 90°/15°C for kitchen sinks).

The silk-matt surface not only impresses with its elegant feel, but also creates maximum functionality through simple cleaning.

These properties offer much promise for the use of Granucol® White+ in the sanitary area. A white quartz mixture can outperform other composite materials, particularly in sanitary applications that are subject to high mechanical loads – for example shower basins or commercial wash basins. In manufacturing too, the fact that little or no reworking of the surface is required, as is customary with kitchen sinks, is advantageous.
