News from the FeRFA Annual Conference

Following a two-year break due to the pandemic, the annual conference of the FeRFA Industrial Flooring Association was held again on November 18, 2022. As in the past, Dorfner supported the FeRFA Graduation & The Resin Flooring Awards ceremony and presented prizes for two projects selected by an expert jury.

FeRFA (The Resin Flooring Association) is a unique global resin flooring industry association in the United Kingdom and Ireland. For over 50 years, FeRFA has represented the leading manufacturers, flooring fitters, and associated companies involved in industrial and commercial resin flooring, screeding, and surface preparation.

All attendees highly anticipated the annual conference held in November 2022 since the UK left the EU Single Market and Customs Union in 2021. The Corona pandemic also proved to be one of the most significant challenges construction industry. Both events created a challenging environment for the flooring industry.

After the Corona-related break, the attending experts were delighted to greet the many colleagues again. The general tenor was again positive yet reserved following the previous turbulent years, during which FeRFA was there for its members, providing guidance and support, for example, with any supply chain difficulties.

Cause for celebration

A unique atmosphere emerged when the FeRFA Graduation & The Resin Flooring Awards were announced. Innovative installation and construction chemical companies were honored at this awards ceremony before a large audience. The expert jury considered not only craftsmanship and technical skills, but environmental aspects also played a role in their assessment. Both the winners and the respective sponsors of the award took to the stage during the award presentation.

Once again, Dorfner sponsored two awards for “Large Commercial Industrial Flooring Projects” at this annual conference:

  • + TP 360 as an installation company & Master Builder Solution as the systems provider with the Swansea Arena, Copr Bay project
  • IRL Group, as an industrial flooring installation company & Sika Ltd. a system provider with the Excel Arena, Formula E Racetrack project

The FeRFA annual conference was again a very successful meeting for Dorfner. The company presented itself as an expert filler supplier for the industrial flooring sector. It was also an opportunity to renew contacts with industrial floor installation companies and establish new ones.
