Investing in digital skills instead of Christmas presents

The pupils of the elementary and secondary school in Hirschau were delighted to receive ten new Apple iPads modified for use in educational institutions. The tablets were donated by the local company Dorfner. As in the previous year, Dorfner decided to forgo Christmas presents for customers and instead use the budget previously intended for this purpose in a charitable way. “The investment in training and digital skills for young people is also an investment in the young talents of regional companies like Dorfner” said Christoph Brenneis, head of marketing and product management at the industrial minerals specialist from Hirschau.

Ms. Michaela Bergmann, principal of the elementary and middle school in Schnaittenbach, and Mr. Christoph Brenneis, head of marketing and product management at Dorfner.

In addition to the Hirschau elementary and secondary school, the elementary and secondary school in Schnaittenbach has also benefited from Dorfner’s new Christmas gift policy. It received a modular system for the construction of lathes and milling machines that are used in worker training.
